It is a noisy world out there..
Are you experiencing?
- Difficulty hearing friends or family
- Trouble communicating with children and female voices
- Difficulty hearing the television
- Difficulty following a conversation over the phone
- Isolation in background noise
- Concerns for your safety
If you are experiencing any of the above difficulties, you may have a hearing loss. Nu-Life Hearing Centre will be conducting complimentary hearing examination screenings and will determine if you may have hearing loss.
What can you expect from a hearing examination screening?
A hearing examination screening generally takes about 15-20 minutes. During this time, the Hearing Instrument Practitioner will have an otoscopic examination of your ears, may test your middle ear function, proceed with a hearing test and finally explain in detail your results.
If I do have a hearing loss, what can a hearing instrument do for me?
Depending on the type of hearing loss, there are many styles and technologies of hearing instruments to choose from. A hearing instrument is digitally fine tuned to the wearer’s hearing ability. For the average user, one should expect a drastic improvement in his/her ability to hear and engage in conversation in multiple listening environments. The television will be clearer and sounds should be more distinct. This ultimately will improve the well being of the individual, build self confidence, and improve all listening strategies.
